Job Description

LOCATION: Accra

Our client, a globally recognised eye care hospital known for its innovative surgical techniques and acumen in clinical services is currently looking to recruit a proactive Receptionist to support their operations in Ghana

ROLE PROFILE

The Ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high quality and responsive reception service to all patients ensuring that the reception runs efficiently and in accordance with the eye hospital operating standards.

DUTIES

  • Make appointments and book patients in when they arrive for an appointment in accordance with the practice appointment system and to provide a helpful and friendly service to patients ensuring also that the reception area is tidy and welcoming.
  • Answer telephones promptly ensuring that all in-coming lines are covered at all times.
  • Comply with the practice procedure for the registration of new patients, temporary patients, private patients and those seen as emergency or immediately
  • Provide necessary information to the patients regarding the treatment services offered in the hospital and entertain all kinds of queries personally or by telephone
  • Help patients in filling hospital forms, collecting hospital changers from them and explain the eye hospital rules to them.
  • Schedule appointments of the patients with the respective doctors and making sure that the patient comes for treatment at the scheduled time
  • Interact with the family members of the patients and provide them necessary reports of treatment, progress and the doctor treating the patient.
  • Provide necessary information to the patients regarding the treatment services offered in the hospital and entertain all kinds of queries personally or by telephone
  • Help the patients in filling hospital forms, collecting hospital changers from them and explain them hospital rules

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any related field
  • A year experience playing similar role

  • Effective communication with visitors and staff at all levels to maintain a serene working climate.
  • Competent communication skills and good interpersonal skills
  • Must possess good administrative skills and management skills
  • Should be able to answer all kind of queries having in-depth knowledge of hospital protocols
  • Pleasing personality and enthusiastic
