SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER

Our client, a premier culinary institution, is seeking to recruit a highly experienced, strategic, and results-driven individual for the position of SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER to lead and support the institution’s business growth and brand visibility effort.

ROLE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies, driving student enrolment, building strong brand awareness, and managing client relationships. He /she will also undertake the following tasks:

 DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to drive optimal performance of the sales team.
  • Oversee the key deliverables of all sales officers to ensure the achievement of set targets.
  • Strengthen and enhance the company’s market position by initiating, developing, and maintaining sales outlets to grow revenue and premium income.
  • Manage sales and support processes to ensure profitability and alignment with business goals.
  • Identify potential markets and develops actionable plans to penetrate and capture market share.
  • Oversee the sales budget and formulates localized market strategies and resource plans to drive growth.
  • Balance personal priorities with team leadership responsibilities, fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with the sales team and all affiliated sales outlets within the organization.
  • Manage external relationships with key stakeholders to support business development efforts.
  • Develop and implement business plans covering sales targets, revenue growth, and cost management.
  • Track sales performance and prepare reports on progress and outcomes as required.
  • Coach, motivate, and train the sales team to enhance performance, product knowledge, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to identify and address recruitment and training needs.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned in support of the company’s strategic objectives.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably in an academic or hospitality setting.
  • Background in culinary education or hospitality is an advantage

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic record-keeping tools.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must have a passion for culinary arts and education.
  • Excellent customer service skills to build relationships with students, other organisations and colleagues.
  • High level of literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Proactive and planned approach to work
  • Must have a friendly and approachable attitude
