HR BUSINESS PARTNER

Our client, a leading manufacturing company is looking for an experienced individual for the role of an HR BUSINESS PARTNER to support the company’s operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for and has overall responsibility for the HR operations elements of the function including but not limited to recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits management (including payroll), HRIS management and appropriate record keeping and employee information management.

 DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Management

  • Partner with the Regional Director and support to deliver a people plan to underpin the business objectives. Ensure the plan is delivered on time, cost and quality and with stakeholder engagement
  • Provide HR guidance and support to the designated employee area on all elements of the employee life cycle ensuring legal compliance and proactivity in understanding and responding to business needs
  • Support employees to ensure business plans and relevant people implications are understood, articulated and seamlessly implemented, drawing on internal and external specialist HR skills where required
  • Ensure visible presence within the Selling Unit with regular engagement with all key stakeholders

Resourcing

  • To work with the Regional Director and wider company stakeholders to support the resourcing plan for the region ensuring compliance with the headcount approval process and also proactive dialogue with the business to anticipate resourcing needs
  • To take accountability for reducing agency spending within, improving candidate quality and a reduction in the time to hire

HR Compliance

  • Advising and coaching line managers on all operational employee relations issues such as absence management, disciplinary, grievance and employment legislation and participating in such meetings as necessary
  • Ensure SAP is maintained locally with all employee changes
  • Upkeep of individual employee files and HR database
  • Ensure all HR-related policies and processes are maintained and compliant with the most recent legislation.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a liaison between employees and line managers to actively build engagement to resolve disputes
  • Work collaboratively with employees to build an effective employee relations culture with actions to minimise absenteeism, regretted attrition and formal disputes
  • Ensure that all legislation locally is updated regularly and adhered to

Performance Management

  • Ensure effective and consistent performance management processes are implemented, communicated and measured across the departments
  • Working with the management team to ensure that the annual performance review programme is delivered in a timely manner with 100% compliance
  • Proactively work with managers to identify and address individuals with performance gaps and put in place interventions to address these, ensuring approved training requirements are sourced, booked and evaluated
  • Work with managers to identify outstanding performers and discuss ways in which they can be further developed and engaged

Learning & Development

  • Ensure relevant training agreements/development plans are administered within the SU
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement through the encouragement of learning & development practices, designed to improve individual & business performance

Compensation & Benefits

  • Conduct monthly payroll process in line with process and ensure relevant documentation is retained to comply and support audit regulations
  • Coordination of the annual salary review process, in close collaboration with line managers and HR management; manage salary increases in line with budget guidelines
  • Benchmarking of salary in ad hoc cases, eg change of responsibility
  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits
  • Co-ordinate the incentive scheme program and manage the incentive scheme and communication with the employees
  • Perform other duties as requested by the line managers and key management stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree preferably with an HR or Psychology specialization or a related field
  • At least 4 – 10 years of professional experience, preferably with 2 or more years in an international company
  • Fluent in English and regional languages preferred

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in communicating and working with international organisations
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP)
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Time management and organisational skills in managing multiple priorities and projects
  • High standard of professional and personal business conduct/presentation
  • Proactive, proven initiative and deadline-driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships
