BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

Our client a leading laboratory equipment distributor is seeking to hire an experienced individual to assist with the operations of the company as a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to attract new clients and build relationships with current clients.

He or she will perform the following duties as well:

 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy in alignment with the company’s targets and goals.
  • Identify potential business opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to generate growth and expand market share across product lines.
  • Lead the development of regional/territory business plans that align with the organization’s overall strategy.
  • Meet financial objectives by implementing effective sales strategies and driving revenue growth.
  • Partner with internal teams to foster a collaborative approach with customers, highlighting the value of MES’ offerings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify potential threats or opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis to management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field. A science related Degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Business Development Executive.
  • Must have proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in the scientific or analytical equipment industry.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of analytical instruments, such as chromatography and spectroscopy, and their applications in various industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify business opportunities and overcome challenges.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel within the region and occasionally internationally.
  • Having a scientific background or knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Should be detail-oriented, highly organized and exhibit good time-management skills.
