HR OFFICER

Our client, an agricultural company is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced HR OFFICER to help with the operations of the company.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of HR within the company including providing operational and administrative support for the effective management of the company’s human capital. He/she will also perform the following duties.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full recruitment life cycle, including job posting, candidate screening, interviews, and selection.
  • Address employee concerns and conflicts by providing guidance and resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies by promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Identify training needs within the organization with the collaboration of Departmental Heads.
  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs (health, educational, etc. as agreed with management) by assisting employees with benefit inquiries and claims.
  • Oversee the performance appraisal process by guiding managers on performance improvement plans and feedback
  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations.
  • Implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction by identifying and addressing factors affecting employee retention.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation processes to maintain a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensure HR practices align with legal and ethical standards by staying updated on labour laws and regulations..
  • Manage Administrative or Office duties such as immigration, work permits, visa on arrival, logistics /travel arrangements, events planning and coordination.
  • Maintain employee and company records including annual payment of land lease
  • Maintain log books for all the machines and implements.
  • Prepare wage bills for weekly casual workers, monthly workers and permanent staff.
  • Support the Accounts Executive in the timely distribution of wages.
  • Oversee daily operations of the plant and manpower.
  • Ensure safety and security procedures.
  • Ensure the calculation and distribution of wages of employees and workers and report to the Finance Manager and CEO
  • Create a relationship with all the Statutory Government departments related to company operations.
  • Ensure non-disclosure of any information about financial and other matters with employees and outsiders.
  • Handle all administrative and commercial work as assigned by the Management from time to time.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field. A Master’s degree in HR is an added advantage.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in HR, with a minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS and MS Office for digital logbooks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, safety regulations, and other employment-related laws.
  • Should have good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in managing and mentoring employees.
