Our client, a fintech company has immediate employment for a self-motivated, experienced and talented SENIOR API DEVELOPER to help with their operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for building a financial API platform based on financial backend systems to integrate with external clients and exposing these APIs on the API gateway. He or she will be involved in the development process to reshape the current APIs and add new APIs based on the existing backend system in the Company throughout the year. He or she would perform the following duties such as:

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in the development process of building new microservices using .net technologies.
  • Responsible for extracting new business ideas from existing business objects.
  • Develop new methods to modernize existing APIs.
  • Responsible for enhancing the performance of existing APIs.
  • Engage in the monetization process of developed APIs.
  • Engage analysis of SQL queries to enhance the performance of APIs.
  • Implement software enhancement and suggest an improvement.
  • Lead the development of API in an object-oriented or functional language.
  • Implement architect solutions based on object-oriented design principles.
  • Share knowledge and assist junior team members.
  • Lead integration test as defined in the test specifications, including event logging and reporting of results.
  • Perform core technical aspects of software development for assigned applications including the development of prototypes and writing new code.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BSc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognized university, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a C#.Net Developer.
  • Experience in using Data structure and OOP.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have experience in exposing microservices via API gateway and using all API’s gateway features like a load balancer, routing, caching, and metering.
  • Experience with web API or MVC in, NET Core and, Net Framework.
  • Experience with software architecture and building .NET applications.
  • Should have knowledge of middleware applications like NginX, Tibco, Web methods.
  • Experience implementing restful API, and restful-WCF.
  • Experience in securing restful API using JWT
  • Experience exposing API through Swagger.
  • Good PC skills (Microsoft Excel and Word essential – PowerPoint useful).
  • Possess DevOps and CI/CD mindset.
  • Must have experience in database SQL server, Oracle and analysing complex queries.
  • Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the appetite to learn and develop skills as both the business and the regulatory environment evolves.
  • Should be able to determine the best scalable solutions under pressure.
  • Experience with design patterns, especially, stateless design, dependency injection, SOLID principles, Clean Code, Microservices, Git and branching strategies.
  • Must be able to work with Scrum/Agile.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design complex test scenarios and implement safety net solutions.
  • Testing API using Postman, and Soup UI.
  • Should have knowledge of creating docker images and Kubernetes is a plus
